Salary: £34,384 (£27,507 Pro Rata)
Location: Edinburgh
Fixed Term Contract for 18 months at 28 hours per week. Days of work to be discussed at interview.
The College seeks to appoint a Museum Cataloguer to catalogue museum object collections to agreed professional standards onto the College’s online catalogue CALM. The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate in museum studies, experience of cataloguing museum collections and an interest in the history of medicine.

This role will focus on producing accurate catalogue records. The role will also be responsible for updating cataloguing guidelines where appropriate.

Person Specification
- Experience working with museum collections.
- In-depth knowledge of museum cataloguing standards.
- Postgraduate qualification in museum studies.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to talk to, listen to, understand and influence multiple stakeholders, within the College community and externally.
- Methodical and organised with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to set and achieve targets.
- Ability to work independently, managing own workload, prioritising and organising time effectively.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Remuneration Package
The salary for this role will be £34,384 FTE per annum plus benefits. Additional benefits include:
- Pension: with employer contributions of 9%.
- Holidays: 23 days’ annual leave and 11 days’ public holiday/College close downs.
