Music Catalogue & Royalties Manager

We are looking for an experienced Music Catalogue & Royalties Manager to join a growing investment business focused on music catalogues and royalty-backed assets. This is a highly specialist role sitting at the intersection of music rights, royalties, finance, operations, and investment. You will play a key role in ensuring that music catalogues can be confidently assessed before investment and that, once acquired or funded, the underlying royalty income is collected accurately, efficiently, and consistently. You will become a key operational link between legal, investment, finance, and operational teams, helping to turn complex global royalty ecosystems into reliable and auditable cash flows.

Pre-Deal Diligence & Rights Mapping

  • Analyse music catalogues to determine the rights and income streams that can be securely lent against or acquired, including publishing, neighbouring rights and master rights.
  • Map the complete rights and royalty value chain, identifying writers, publishers, administrators, labels, managers, estates and other third-party claim holders.
  • Establish ownership percentages, territorial splits, mandates and control across relevant rights.
  • Navigate global collection societies, PROs, mechanical rights organisations and neighbouring-rights societies.
  • Confirm registrations, mandates and collection pathways and identify any gaps or potential obstacles.
  • Analyse expected royalty cash flows by source, territory and society, assessing the reliability and collectability of projected income.
  • Stress-test royalty flows and highlight any structural, legal or operational risks that could affect recovery.
  • Produce clear pre-deal diligence reports confirming, or qualifying, the ability to intercept and collect the royalty income underpinning an investment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
