Job Description
This role is for a remote music producer and mixing engineer to collaborate on a home-produced album rooted in themes of nature, healing, and spiritual practice. The project is a personal passion endeavor, not intended for commercial release, and requires a patient, empathetic collaborator who can work flexibly and supportively alongside a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. The ideal candidate will help shape the sonic identity of the album, provide creative input, and handle mixing duties, all while respecting a slow, open-ended timeline due to the artist’s health considerations.
Deliverables
- Collaborate closely with the artist to develop and refine the overall sound and arrangement of each track
- Mix multiple songs to a professional standard suitable for personal sharing and archiving
- Offer creative suggestions for instrumentation, effects, and sonic textures that align with the album’s themes
- Communicate regularly and adapt to a flexible, patient workflow with potential for follow-up work
- Provide feedback and technical support for home-recorded material

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
