Role Description/Criteria
St Brendan’s Primary School, in Flemington, is a community Catholic school where everyone is known by name. We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Instrumental Classroom Music Teacher to deliver high quality classes to our students. The successful applicant will be willing and able to fulfil the following Key Selection Criteria, demonstrated through:

- Appropriate qualifications and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

Responsibilities and Criteria
- Teach a range of musical instruments in weekly lessons including drums, keyboard, guitar, ukulele and percussion to Year P-2
- Teach additional weekly drum, keyboard or guitar lessons in small group sessions
- Drive and coordinate musical performances for children, at school and around community
- Work with the Performing Arts team to develop and produce our bi-annual School production
- Possess the skills and abilities necessary to engage and empower students with a rich, rewarding music experiences
- Create, build and embrace a positive collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning
- Demonstrate the development of positive partnerships with parents and the wider community
- Participate in various school organised events as required
- Writing formal academic reports that conform to report writing guidelines
- Monitor the progress of each student and provide meaningful and regular feedback to each student on their progress
- Demonstrating competency with digital technologies
