We are looking for a passionate and commercially minded Myopia Consultant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical education, customer engagement, and business development to drive the adoption of myopia management solutions across the optical sector.
The Role
As a Myopia Consultant, you will become the subject matter expert for myopia management within your territory, partnering with independent practices, groups, and key accounts to develop their understanding, confidence, and commercial success in this rapidly growing category.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Delivering professional education and training on myopia management and MiYOSMART®.
- Supporting optical practices with successful implementation of myopia management programmes.
- Building strong relationships with optometrists, dispensing opticians, and practice teams.
- Providing clinical and commercial guidance to support growth in myopia management.
- Conducting in-practice training, workshops, and educational events.
- Supporting customer accreditation and ongoing development programmes.
- Working closely with Business Development Managers and Key Account teams to identify opportunities.
- Analysing territory performance and developing action plans to increase adoption and sales.
- Attending industry exhibitions, conferences, and customer events.
- Maintaining an excellent understanding of clinical evidence, competitor activity, and market developments.

About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about improving children's vision and supporting eye care professionals.
Essential
- Optical industry experience.
- Strong presentation and training skills.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities.
- Commercial awareness and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to travel extensively within designated territory.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Passion for education, coaching, and customer development.
Desirable
- Qualified Dispensing Optician or Optometrist.
- Previous experience within myopia management.
- Experience delivering professional education programmes.
- Account management, field sales, or clinical support experience.
- Knowledge of myopia management evidence and treatment options.

You'll Work With Optical Practices To
- Increase awareness of childhood myopia.
- Support practice teams to confidently discuss myopia management with parents and children.
- Help practices integrate myopia management into the patient journey.
- Deliver educational programmes that improve patient outcomes.
- Drive adoption of MiYOSMART® and associated myopia management solutions.
Internal HOYA learning programmes describe successful myopia management as combining awareness, education, evidence, and adoption support across the whole practice team.
