Naimuri — Senior Software Engineer

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: Salford Quays (with hybrid working options) Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About Us

We’re celebrating our tenth anniversary, growing from a modest tech start-up into a thriving community of 180+ people, mainly based in Salford, Greater Manchester. We also have offices in Cheltenham, London, Portsmouth, and Lincoln.

Our name, “Naimuri”, originates from the fusion of two Japanese words, “not” and “overburden”, reflecting our core principle: removing undue pressure in technology, processes, and culture. This philosophy guides our mission to make the UK a safer place.

We operate in an Agile-first environment where collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement define our ethos:

  • A Culture of Enablement: Decisions are empowered, and blockers are removed.
  • Focus on Quality: We prioritise well-written, maintainable code as the “definitive example.”
  • Active Collaboration: Work closely with Platform Engineers, Delivery Leads, and Product Owners, managing Kubernetes infrastructure and automated pipelines (GitLab).

Our projects span weeks to 5+ years, exemplifying diverse challenges:

  • Building a data analytics tool using Neo4J graph databases.
  • A DevOps platform supporting 3,000 users.
  • Digital forensic data processing for search and insights.
  • A search and reporting system with an Elasticsearch backend.
  • A custom workflow tool with a React/TS front-end.
  • AI assurance capabilities.
  • Data pipeline orchestration and LLM performance metrics design.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
