Commercial Controller
Location: West London – office based
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced commercial leader to join a leading FMCG business and take ownership of one of its most significant retail partnerships.
This role is responsible for driving commercial performance, delivering sustainable growth, and strengthening long-term customer relationships across a diverse own-label product portfolio. You will lead a high-performing sales team, influence cross-functional business strategy, and play a pivotal role in shaping future category and customer development plans.

Key Responsibilities:
- Have full P&L responsibility for a major strategic customer account and be accountable for delivering revenue, volume, and profitability targets across multiple product categories.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial Managers.
- Own the commercial strategy and performance of a major retail customer partnership.
- Develop and deliver annual and long-term Joint Business Plans aligned to customer and business objectives.
- Champion customer needs internally and influence plans across commercial, marketing, innovation, and supply chain functions.
- Drive customer-specific category growth initiatives and new product development programmes.
- Manage forecasting accuracy, financial governance, risks, and opportunities.

Ideal Candidate:
- Significant FMCG experience at Commercial / National Account Controller level.
- Strong track record of managing strategic grocery retail partnerships.
- Experience working with own-label products and understanding retailer and consumer needs.
- Proven leadership experience with responsibility for coaching and developing teams.
- Excellent commercial, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong financial and P&L management capability.
- Highly analytical with excellent project management and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Resilient, results-driven, and highly motivated.
