National Sales Director – Aviation & Airlines

Reporting to: Group Operations Director

Employment: Full-time

Start Date: Immediate start

Base Salary: £52,750 per annum

Performance Bonus

You will be eligible for an annual performance-related bonus of up to 30% of your base salary, subject to achieving agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Bonus arrangements are discretionary and reviewed annually.

KPIs may include:

  • New airline account acquisition and conversion
  • Revenue and profitability growth
  • Expansion of KANDM’s national hotel portfolio
  • Development of relationships with hotel owners, operators, and key decision-makers
  • Development and management of strategic supplier relationships
  • Airline disruption, IROPS and crew-accommodation growth
  • Commercial performance and supplier negotiations
  • Achievement of agreed national sales and strategic objectives

Bonus entitlement will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, considering your commencement date, applicable performance period and achievement against agreed KPIs.

Probationary Period

Your appointment will be subject to a three-month probationary period. During probation, either party may give one week’s notice. Upon successful completion of probation, we will confirm your appointment.

Notice Period (Post-Probation)

Following successful completion of probation, your contractual notice period will be 90 days.

Holiday Entitlement

You will be entitled to 22 days paid annual leave per holiday year, plus the 8 standard UK public/bank holidays, in accordance with KANDM’s holiday policy and operational requirements.

Holiday entitlement will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for any incomplete holiday year. You must request and have all annual leave approved in advance. Full details will be provided in your formal contract of employment.

Working Hours

Your normal working hours will be 40 hours per week, with flexibility required to meet business needs, including national travel and occasional out-of-hours commitments.

National Role & Responsibilities

As National Sales Director – Aviation & Airlines, you will hold senior commercial responsibility for developing KANDM’s airline, aviation, hotel and supplier relationships across the United Kingdom.

Nationwide Hotel Portfolio

You will lead the commercial development and management of KANDM’s nationwide hotel portfolio, including identifying and onboarding suitable hotel partners and developing long-term relationships with existing suppliers.

You will establish and maintain direct relationships with key hotel decision-makers, including:

  • Hotel owners and ownership groups
  • Managing Directors and Chief Executives
  • General Managers
  • Commercial Directors
  • Directors of Sales
  • Revenue Directors and Revenue Managers
  • Regional and National Sales Directors
  • Hotel management companies
  • Procurement and contracting teams
  • Other relevant commercial stakeholders

Supplier & Strategic Partner Management

You will develop and manage relationships with KANDM’s wider supplier network, including hotels, accommodation providers, transport providers and other partners supporting airline, crew and disruption operations.

You will work to establish commercially competitive terms, maintain supplier performance and develop long-term strategic partnerships capable of supporting KANDM’s national growth.

Airline & Aviation Development

You will lead the continued development of KANDM’s relationships with airlines and aviation-sector decision-makers nationally, including opportunities relating to:

  • Airline disruption and IROPS accommodation
  • Crew accommodation
  • Airline hotel programmes
  • Transport and associated supplier requirements
  • National airline account development
  • Strategic airline partnerships

You will work closely with KANDM’s airline sales team and provide senior commercial leadership to develop and convert new opportunities.

Commercial Leadership, Reporting & Reviews

You will report directly to the Group Operations Director and will participate in weekly performance reviews covering:

  • National sales pipeline and new business opportunities
  • Airline account development and conversion activity
  • Hotel and supplier portfolio development
  • Commercial negotiations and contracting progress
  • Airline disruption, IROPS and crew-accommodation opportunities
  • Revenue and profitability performance
  • Progress against agreed KPIs
  • Priorities, risks and actions for the following week

You will also participate in quarterly business reviews with the Group Commercial Director, covering broader strategic performance, national growth, partnerships, risks and future priorities.

You will support and guide the Director of Sales – Airlines and other members of the commercial team to ensure alignment with KANDM’s national commercial strategy.
