National Account Executive - FMCG | Tesco Group
Salary: Up to £39,000 + Car Allowance + Package
Hybrid - 3 days on site / Northamptonshire
We’re working with a well-established FMCG business behind some of the UK’s most recognisable brands. With a strong heritage, an impressive market presence, and a portfolio of products found in households across the country, this is a business that continues to invest in its brands, people, and future growth.
The business has built strong relationships with major UK retailers and has an exciting opportunity for a National Account Executive to join its commercial team, looking after the Tesco Group account.
This is a great opportunity to work with a major retailer, gain exposure to a high-profile account, and play a genuine part in driving sales and growing some much-loved brands. You’ll be joining an experienced team that can support your development while giving you the opportunity to take ownership, build customer relationships, and develop your commercial skills.

The Role
- Account management: Support the day-to-day management of the Tesco Group account, helping to deliver sales and profit targets.
- Forecasting: Keep customer forecasts up to date and track performance against targets.
- Promotions: Help plan and review promotional activity, making sure it delivers the right results.
- Customer relationships: Build relationships with key contacts and identify opportunities to grow the account.
- Data and insights: Use sales data, EPOS, and category insights to understand performance and spot opportunities.
- Working with other teams: Liaise with Category, Finance, Supply Chain, and Field Sales to make sure customer plans are delivered.
- New product launches: Support new product launches and ensure they are executed effectively.
- Commercial planning: Work alongside the National Account Manager to develop customer plans, identify growth opportunities, and improve performance.
About You

We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, organised, and keen to develop their career.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Experience working with customers or supporting key accounts, ideally within FMCG or a similar industry.
- A good understanding of sales, margins, and commercial performance.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to make sense of data.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with customers and internal teams.
- An understanding of promotions, customer planning, and sales performance.
- The ability to manage your workload, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach and a genuine interest in developing your commercial skills.
You don’t need to know everything from day one, but you should be keen to learn, take responsibility, and make a difference.
