Grocery National Account Executive at Lotus Natural Foods

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grocery National Account Executive, supporting the Senior National Account Manager across key grocery accounts. This role will offer progression potential into a Key Account Manager position.

In this full-time remote hybrid role (4 days on-site at our St Albans office), you’ll work closely with the Grocery team to drive annual plans to budget, ensuring successful execution across both head office and retail stores.


Key Responsibilities

Primary Focus Areas:

  • Assist in managing grocery accounts on a daily basis, including:
    • Supporting new line listings
    • Delivering promotional plans
    • Collaborating with supply chain to ensure extended distribution and stock availability
    • Addressing gaps in range and positioning
    • Managing product tagging and online visibility
    • Forecasting, EPOS, and invoice tracking using retailer systems (e.g., Connect, Together With, SkuTrak)
    • Conducting on-going promotional reviews

  • Work cross-functionally with:
    • Operations (customer forecasts)
    • Category & Shopper Marketing (range, distribution, displays, and features)

Key Account Engagement & Development

  • Attend relevant meetings with the Senior National Account Manager (SNAM)

  • Build targeted relationships with key account contacts (supply chain, formats, merchandisers, promoters, administrators, and buyers)

  • Visit stores regularly to monitor activity and assess the competitive landscape

  • Develop engaging sell-in stories for new product launches, in collaboration with category teams

  • Play a critical role in aligning the Grocery teams with annual plan execution and delivery

Collaborative & Cross-Team Support

  • Engage with a small but integrated team, supporting functions across Operations, Finance, Marketing, Customer Service & NPD to help meet Grocery targets

Key Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Right-to-work in the UK (no sponsorship required)
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent (minimum education level)
  • 2 years’ experience in account management, preferably in FMCG buyer-facing roles (e.g., Field Sales Executive, Regional Account Manager), or equivalent experience as a junior trade marketing executive

Essential Skills & Attributes

  • Boldly results-driven, capable of hitting account and channel targets
  • Numerate, with a strong understanding of P&L’s and margins—and sharp attention to detail
  • Proven strong selling skills to influence and win over buyers and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for health and wellbeing

Please note, this opportunity is entirely hybrid, and candidates must agree to four days a week in our St Albans office.
