National Account Manager – Grocery
The Opportunity
An established European food group is looking to appoint a National Account Manager to help manage and grow a portfolio of major UK grocery retail customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious National Account Executive or Junior National Account Manager who is ready to take the next step and assume greater commercial responsibility.
You’ll join a supportive and experienced retail team where the emphasis is as much on attitude, enthusiasm and business fit as it is on having every element of the required experience. The company is prepared to invest in the successful candidate’s development and provide the support needed to progress into a fully established National Account Manager.
The business manufactures an innovative range of chilled and frozen convenience foods across the UK and Europe. With annual group sales of approximately €250 million, it offers the scale and capabilities of an international manufacturer alongside the autonomy and pace of a close-knit UK commercial team.
Its core product categories include party food, vegetarian products, value-added snacking, dairy-based products and pizza.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Retail, you will support the management and development of a portfolio of UK grocery multiple retailers. The specific customers will be determined according to your existing experience, strengths and development needs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
