Job Overview

PAX is looking for an experienced National Account Manager to drive our commercial growth across the UK Grocery and Major Retail channels.

A key priority of this role will be developing new strategic grocery accounts and securing listings for PAX products with major UK retailers and other national retail groups.

The role will own key retailer relationships and lead account strategy, commercial negotiations, range reviews, new product listings, launches and sustainable long-term growth.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing commercial role. We value genuine retailer experience, strong buyer relationships and a proven ability to win and grow major grocery accounts more than corporate title.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop direct relationships with major UK grocery retailers and identify new account opportunities.
  • Secure new product listings and expand distribution across strategic national retail accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with buyers, category teams and other key retail stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute customer strategies, annual account plans, JBPs, range reviews, promotional plans and new product launches.
  • Lead commercial negotiations across pricing, retailer margins, listing fees, promotions, rebates and trade investment.
  • Own account revenue, margin, forecasting and overall commercial performance.
  • Prepare and present compelling, insight-led commercial proposals to retail customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse EPOS, category, pricing, competitor and shopper data and translate insights into commercial actions.
  • Work closely with distribution partners where appropriate to ensure effective supply, execution and retail performance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory and Legal teams to deliver customer plans and product launches.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of UK grocery trends, category dynamics and the competitive landscape, and identify new strategic retail opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
