Are you ready to step into a National Account Manager role where you can take genuine ownership of a high-growth portfolio of key wholesale and convenience relationships and make an immediate commercial impact?

Signature Career Management are partnering with a well-established global FMCG business behind a portfolio of iconic, much-loved brands. The UK arm operates at pace, with agility, entrepreneurial spirit and a clear hunger to outperform, while being backed by the scale, stability and resources of a major international organisation.

The business is now entering its next phase of growth and, following a recent team restructure, is looking for a commercially sharp National Account Manager to take full ownership of a multi-layered portfolio of key accounts. This is a high-visibility role with real autonomy, strong senior support and the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution.

You will work closely with the Channel Controller, taking full accountability for your customer P&L and strategic account plans.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Take full ownership of your accounts, developing and executing joint business plans that deliver sustainable volume, net sales and share growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at Buyer and Senior Buyer level, positioning the business as a proactive and trusted partner
  • Lead commercial negotiations, trade spend management and ROI optimisation to maximise profitability while protecting and growing volume
  • Bring category data and insights to life through compelling customer stories and recommendations
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, Trade and Brand Marketing to ensure seamless execution
  • Act as the authentic voice of the customer internally and continuously demonstrate the company’s values

Who you are:

  • An experienced National Accounts professional with a proven track record of delivering results in UK FMCG (retail, wholesale, convenience or impulse backgrounds all welcomed)
  • Commercially sharp with strong P&L ownership, strategic planning and forecasting capability
  • An expert negotiator who can influence at all levels, both externally and internally
  • Structured, process-driven and comfortable operating in complex, multi-layered accounts
  • Highly articulate with presence and gravitas – able to tell a clear commercial story while bringing energy, positivity and emotional intelligence
  • Resilient, tenacious and always looking for the “yes”, with a genuine growth mindset and ambition to progress
  • Confident using data and insight platforms to drive decisions and recommendations
  • Someone who thrives on ownership, builds trusted relationships quickly and enjoys making an impact in a collaborative, high-support environment
