Data Centre Strategic Accounts Manager

Greater London | £80,000–£90,000 + Excellent Commission

We are recruiting for a Data Centre Strategic Accounts Manager with a global leader in power management and critical infrastructure solutions.

This is a high-impact commercial role focused on growing revenue across large international Data Centre operating companies, developing strategic relationships and identifying profitable new business opportunities.

You will have the opportunity to influence major Data Centre projects, build relationships with senior decision-makers and shape account strategy across one of the fastest-growing sectors in the infrastructure market.

The Role

  • Own, develop and continuously execute strategic account plans for major Data Centre customers
  • Grow revenue, orders, pipeline, product mix and profitability across assigned accounts
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across Data Centre operators
  • Identify and engage with consultants, contractors and other stakeholders who can unlock future opportunities
  • Understand customer buying processes, business strategies, challenges and future investment plans
  • Identify, qualify and secure profitable new business opportunities
  • Lead and oversee the technical and commercial tendering process, ensuring solutions align with customer requirements
  • Develop compelling value propositions across products, services and solutions
  • Coordinate with regional and global sales teams, engineering, product management, marketing, bid teams and other internal stakeholders
  • Maintain strong market and competitor intelligence and identify emerging Data Centre trends
  • Ensure successful commercial handover to project management, services and customer support teams
  • Act as a strong internal advocate for your strategic accounts and provide clear customer and market insight to the wider business

Candidate Experience

  • Proven track record of success within the Data Centre industry
  • Strong strategic/key account management and business development experience
  • Experience selling into large Data Centre operators / hyperscalers / colocation businesses
  • Established relationships with Data Centre customers, consultants and/or contractors
  • Demonstrable ability to identify, develop and close significant commercial opportunities
  • Good understanding of Data Centre design, infrastructure and operations
  • Technical or engineering background highly advantageous
  • Strong understanding of commercial tendering and bid processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Comfortable operating at senior leadership and executive level
  • Entrepreneurial, commercially driven and highly customer-focused

Remuneration

  • £80,000–£90,000 base salary
