National Account Manager – Tesco & Co-Pack
South West – 3 days per week in-office
£55,000 + bonus + benefits
I’m working with a well-established food business in a genuinely interesting category, with a strong mix of branded, own label and co-pack customers. Due to internal promotions, they’re now looking for a National Account Manager to take ownership of Tesco alongside a group of co-pack customers.
Tesco already has an own label base, but the real opportunity is to build on that and replicate the success the business has recently seen with a major branded launch in Sainsbury’s. So this role needs someone who can manage the detail, build the customer plan, and spot the opportunities to grow both branded and private label.
This is a hands-on role in a business that’s moving quickly, with lots of innovation, range reviews and customer opportunities to go after.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Tesco account across branded and own label opportunities
- Develop and grow relationships with key co-pack customers
- Build and deliver customer plans focused on distribution, range, revenue and margin growth
- Support the Tesco branded growth opportunity, learning from recent success in Sainsbury’s
- Lead forecasting, promotional planning, pricing and performance tracking
- Work closely with internal teams across supply chain, finance, marketing and NPD
- Use data and insight to identify opportunities across range reviews and customer plans
- Manage trade spend carefully, ensuring activity delivers strong ROI

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
