Do you have a proven track record of winning and growing key accounts within FMCG or consumer goods?

Have you built strong relationships with major grocers and/or discounters, and know how to open new business from scratch?

Ready to take ownership of a newly created role within a well-established, growing fragrance and beauty business?

MacGregor Black is partnering with a long-established, family-owned fragrance and beauty distribution business on the search for a National Account Manager. This is a Permanent position based in Surrey, offered on a hybrid basis.

This is a newly created commercial role, focused on building the business's presence within discounters and grocery for its mass, accessible price-point brands. You will take ownership of new business development and relationship growth across this channel, working closely with senior stakeholders to shape the strategy from the ground up. This is a genuine opportunity to build something new within an established, successful business, rather than stepping into an existing desk.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
