FISKARS
National Account Manager
OUR ROLE
At Fiskars, we create high-quality, functional products designed to make everyday activities more enjoyable. We are looking for a National Account Manager to help grow our Gardening and Pet Care business in the United Kingdom.
You will manage distribution channels and direct customer relationships, turn customer and market insight into commercial plans, and deliver sustainable sales and profit growth. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance, you will help strengthen our retail and online presence while building trusted customer partnerships.
This full-time position is based in Barlaston or London, United Kingdom, and reports to Senior National Account Manager. The working model is hybrid. Regular travel is required, and a full driving license is essential.
WHAT YOU'LL DO AT FISKARS
You will take ownership of assigned accounts and channels, collaborating across the business to create value for customers and Fiskars.
Responsibilities:
- Manage distributors and direct customer relationships against agreed sales, profit, and service targets.
- Develop customer and channel plans that support sustainable growth across retail and online channels.
- Prepare and lead customer proposals, range reviews, joint business plans, and commercial recommendations.
- Support negotiations on pricing, promotions, listings, terms, and commercial investment.
- Use sales, market, competitor, and customer data to identify opportunities, risks, and actions.
- Manage promotional plans, forecasts, and trade investment, evaluating effectiveness and return on investment.
- Partner with Supply Chain on forecasting and stock planning, and with Marketing on launches and go-to-market activity.
- Monitor account profitability and performance, share clear updates, and take action to protect growth and margin.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a trusted and relationship-oriented commercial professional who enjoys building strong partnerships and creating value for customers. You are comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your priorities, and delivering results in a self-directed environment. You bring a collaborative approach, strong business judgment, and the ability to develop lasting relationships with distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Experience:
- Experience as a National Account Manager, or as a Key Account Manager ready to take on broader account responsibility.
- Experience managing distributors and customers across retail and online channels; knowledge of Gardening, Pet Care, or power tools is an advantage.
- Evidence of delivering sales growth through account plans, joint business plans, or comparable commercial programs.
- Experience in customer negotiations involving pricing, promotions, listings, terms, or commercial investment.
- Good understanding of pricing, margin, promotions, forecasting, and account profitability, including profit and loss responsibility.
- Ability to interpret commercial and customer data, such as EPOS, Nielsen, or IRI, and turn insight into action.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations to customers and colleagues.
- Comfort using customer relationship management and sales or forecasting systems, together with a full driving license and willingness to travel regularly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
