National Account Manager / Account Manager
London - Hybrid
Two opportunities
12 month FTC from January 2027
Flexible on level
I'm recruiting for two people to join the UK Sales team of a major international consumer products business, working across a portfolio of well known household brands.
These are 12-month FTCs, but there is a real opportunity here for someone to use those 12 months to make a significant move forward in their career.
Because there are two roles, the team can be flexible around level and how the accounts are split. I'm not looking for two people with exactly the same background.
You might be an NAE ready for a proper step up, an Account Manager/KAM wanting bigger customers and more ownership, or an established National Account Manager looking for your next challenge.
Equally, you might currently sit on the retailer side in Buying or Merchandising and want the opportunity to move into Key Account Management.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you will need is experience working with physical products, whether that's fashion, homewares, beauty, gifting or another consumer goods category. You could come from the brand/supplier side, or from Buying or Merchandising within a retailer.
If you've been looking at roles and thinking I'd be great at that if someone would just give me the opportunity, this could be it.
There's loads to learn, proper account responsibility and the opportunity to work with major UK retailers and some brilliant consumer brands.
The roles will cover:
- Managing and developing key UK retail accounts
- Building account plans and identifying opportunities for growth
- Forecasting, ranging and promotional planning
- Analysing sales performance and using data to make commercial decisions
- Presenting to customers and managing commercial negotiations
- Working closely with Marketing, Planning, Operations and Finance

For me, the important bit is finding driven, hardworking people with a great attitude, who are commercially switched on and genuinely want to learn and develop.
The exact accounts and level of responsibility can be shaped around the experience each person brings. So I'm open to someone who can already do all of this, or someone with the right foundations who's ready to step up and learn it.
You'll be joining a fast-paced, high-performing and genuinely collaborative team, based in a fantastic London office with hybrid and flexible working.
Yes, it's a contract. But it's also 12 months of experience and responsibility that could be difficult to get without already having done the job. That's what makes these opportunities particularly interesting.
If this sounds like the kind of next move you've been looking for, I'd love to hear from you.
