A leading and growing SME Food Manufacturer is currently looking for a NAM with extensive Foodservice experience to join their team. Reporting into the Sales Director, you will need to be a self-starter with a proven track record in delivering profitable sales growth through effective account management, strategic customer development, and strong commercial execution.

Role Overview

This National Account Manager – Foodservice will need former experience working with national wholesalers, contract caterers, pub groups, restaurant chains, and foodservice operators.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of national foodservice accounts.
  • Deliver sales, volume, and margin targets through effective account planning.
  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and annual agreements.
  • Develop and execute joint business plans with customers.
  • Analyse sales performance, market trends, and customer data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with NPD, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer requirements and successful product launches.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and market insight to support business planning.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a NAM, Key Account Manager, or Business Development role within foodservice.
  • Strong understanding of UK foodservice channels, including wholesalers, distributors, and contract caterers.
  • Demonstrable proven track record of delivering sales growth and commercial targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Full UK driving licence is required.
