National Account Manager
Home Based | UK Travel | £62,000 + Benefits
Are you an experienced FMCG sales professional with a track record of managing Wholesale and Convenience accounts?
We're recruiting for a Customer Manager opportunity with a leading UK food business that owns a portfolio of well-recognised and established brands. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key customer relationships, drive sustainable growth, and play a pivotal role in shaping commercial success across a diverse and highly respected product portfolio.
This is a home-based role with regular travel to customer offices and manufacturing sites across the UK, offering the autonomy to manage your accounts whilst remaining closely connected to both customers and the wider commercial team.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing and developing key Wholesale and Convenience customers.
- Building strong relationships with buyers and key stakeholders.
- Delivering sales, profit, distribution and visibility targets.
- Leading Joint Business Planning activities and commercial negotiations.
- Identifying and securing profitable growth opportunities.
- Working closely with Category, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer success.
- Supporting NPD launches, promotional plans and activation programmes.
- Providing insight-led recommendations to drive business performance.

What we're looking for:
- Proven FMCG account management experience within Wholesale and Convenience retail channels.
- Strong experience managing customer P&Ls and delivering commercial growth.
- Demonstrable success negotiating annual agreements, promotions and trading terms.
- Experience building and delivering Joint Business Plans.
- Excellent relationship-building, influencing and presentation skills.
- A commercially astute individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Food industry experience would be advantageous.
