National Account Manager – Co-op & Nisa (12-month FTC)
Signature Career Management have exclusively partnered with a global blue-chip food company and household name within the frozen food category. With a history spanning well over 60 years, they continue to go from strength to strength and have ambitious growth plans for the next 5 years.
They are constantly adding exciting new products to their portfolio, including 4 new acquisitions over the last 3 years, helping them build a diversified presence across multiple channels and categories.
As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint a National Account Manager to take ownership of key customers, including Co-op and Nisa.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and commercially driven National Account Manager who enjoys building strong customer relationships, developing strategic account plans and delivering sustainable sales and profit growth.
You’ll have responsibility for managing the commercial relationship with Co-op and Nisa, working closely with customers to identify opportunities, maximise distribution, drive rate of sale and deliver against agreed revenue and profit targets.
The role requires just 1 day a week in their North Yorkshire offices, with plenty of flexibility around the rest of the week. They have people travelling from as far as Manchester and the North West, as well as across the North East.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Take ownership of the Co-op and Nisa accounts, developing customer strategies that deliver revenue, profit and sustainable growth
- Build strong, senior-level relationships across Co-op, Nisa and key internal stakeholders
- Lead the commercial agenda across pricing, promotions, forecasting and NPD
- Develop and deliver effective joint business plans that create value for both the customer and the business
- Identify new opportunities and use customer, consumer and market insight to drive growth
- Use data and category insight to identify opportunities and make commercially sound decisions
- Drive distribution, rate of sale and category growth across your customer base
- Champion digital, omnichannel and sustainability initiatives within your customer plans
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- Proven commercial success in retail, foodservice wholesale, or convenience channels.
- Strong account management experience, with the ability to develop and deliver joint business plans
- Experience managing P&L, budgets and commercial targets
- A strong track record of delivering sales and category growth
- Excellent understanding of FMCG markets, customers and category management
- Commercially driven, with a genuine passion for selling and winning
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident working with data, numbers and presentations to influence commercial decisions
- A strategic, analytical and forward-thinking approach
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and able to influence effectively at all levels
