National Account Manager – Foodservice (Contract Catering & Restaurant Groups)
Location: Field-based, UK-wide travel
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + 25% bonus (quarterly) + Company Car/Car Allowance
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a National Account Manager to drive profitable growth across major contract catering customers as well as national restaurant groups.
- You’ll own a national portfolio, win new multi-site business, maximise value from existing accounts, and play a key role in shaping the product pipeline for the sector.
- This is a high-impact commercial role where you’ll combine strategic account management with hands-on business development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Win new business across contract catering, national restaurant groups and pub groups.
- Manage and grow existing national accounts, ensuring profitability and long-term partnership success.
- Build strong customer relationships and manage day-to-day account activity with confidence and professionalism.
- Develop joint business plans and support the commercial strategy for key customers.
- Lead pipeline development, from identifying opportunities to executing new listings.
- Manage forecasts, customer pricing and margin delivery.
- Control cash collections and ensure customers pay within agreed terms.
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain, customer service, quality, transport and commercial teams.
- Play an integral role in new product development for the foodservice channel.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Monitor account performance and adapt plans to ensure targets are achieved.

- Strong understanding of the foodservice market - contract catering experience is a must.
- Proven ability to build and establish customer relationships.
- Demonstrated business development success, especially winning multi-site contracts.
- Strong P&L ownership and commercial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation, persuasive selling and conflict-resolution skills.
- Highly competent with Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Results-driven mindset with strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Ability to adapt and remain agile in a changing industry environment.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
