Clermont Hotel Group offers a rich and diverse portfolio for a range of guest needs, and helps employees forge lasting and successful careers in hospitality. An experienced hospitality company, we offer a warm, guest-centred experience - but we are, at our heart, a people company and strive to connect personally with our guests, partners, investors, and colleagues to create an extraordinary experience for all.
With over 4000 rooms, 100+ event spaces, plus stylish bars and restaurants, our hotels have plenty of space for everyone to meet, sleep, and dine. All kinds of extraordinary, for all kinds of people.
At Thistle Hotels, extraordinary hospitality starts with understanding our guests - and building great partnerships with the businesses that bring them through our doors.
We’re looking for a commercially minded and relationship-focused National Account Manager - Corporate to join our Sales team, taking ownership of a portfolio of corporate accounts and helping us grow revenue and market share across our Thistle Hotels.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves developing long-term client relationships, uncovering new opportunities and turning insight into action. You’ll work closely with our hotel teams and wider commercial colleagues to make sure our corporate partners understand everything Thistle Hotels has to offer – and that we’re making the most of every opportunity to grow together.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and develop a designated portfolio of corporate accounts, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to increase revenue, room nights, and market share across our hotels.
- Owning and growing your corporate account portfolio, developing clear account plans that support both our wider commercial strategy and individual hotel objectives.
- Building meaningful, multi-level relationships with key decision makers and influencers, developing a real understanding of each client, their business, and their future requirements.
- Identifying and converting new corporate business opportunities, both within existing accounts and through targeted new business development.
- Negotiating corporate contracts and commercial terms that deliver sustainable value for both our clients and our hotels.
- Managing the corporate RFP and contracting process for your accounts, working collaboratively with Revenue, Sales, and hotel teams to ensure opportunities are evaluated and responded to effectively.
- Understanding account production and performance, identifying opportunities to increase share and taking action where accounts are underperforming.
- Working closely with our hotels to ensure contracted accounts are activated effectively and opportunities are converted at property level.
- Using Salesforce consistently to maintain accurate account information, record activity, manage opportunities, and build a deeper understanding of our clients.
- Monitoring corporate and travel market trends, competitor activity, and client behaviour, sharing useful insight with our hotels and commercial teams.
- Providing regular forecasts and reporting on account performance, pipeline, opportunities, and future revenue potential.
- Representing Thistle Hotels at client meetings, presentations, networking events, trade activity, and relevant industry events.
- Supporting brand education and awareness across your portfolio, ensuring our clients understand our hotels, locations, and proposition.
- Working collaboratively across Sales, Revenue, Marketing, and hotel operations to create a joined-up approach to our corporate customers.
- Taking ownership of relevant sales projects and campaigns that support corporate revenue growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
