We are supporting an established and well-regarded UK food manufacturer with the appointment of an experienced National Account Manager. With multiple UK sites and an established global supply network, the business supplies major UK retailers and foodservice customers and is continuing to invest in its commercial growth.
Please note this client does not offer Visa sponsorship. Only candidates with full Right to Work in the UK and direct Account Management experience within the food & beverages sector will be considered.
Role Overview
Due to continued growth and the evolution of the commercial structure, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a National Account Manager to join the business. This is a commercially focused role with responsibility for developing and growing key retail customer relationships, identifying new opportunities and driving sustainable, profitable growth.
This role is specifically suited to an experienced National Account Manager who has managed major UK retail/supermarket accounts within food manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop key UK retail customer accounts.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with buyers and key customer stakeholders.
- Identify and deliver opportunities for profitable sales, category and range growth.
- Develop and implement account plans aligned with customer and business objectives.
- Work closely with Technical, Production and NPD teams to deliver customer requirements.
- Monitor account performance, commercial activity and profitability.
- Lead customer meetings, presentations, trade events and occasional supplier visits.
- Ensure consistently high levels of customer service and stakeholder engagement.
About You
- Proven experience as a National Account Manager within food manufacturing.
- Strong track record managing UK supermarket and major retail accounts.
- Experience managing commercial relationships with retail buyers and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrable success delivering sales, margin and account growth.
- Strong understanding of the UK food retail environment.
- Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Technical, Production and NPD teams.
- Organised, adaptable and confident operating in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Comfortable with occasional UK and international travel.
