National Account Manager – Foodservice
£55,000 to £65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

We are working with a well established, privately owned UK food manufacturer to recruit an experienced National Account Manager – Foodservice.
The business has built a strong reputation within its sector and supplies customers across UK retail, wholesale and foodservice. It combines the heritage and values of a long established food business with ambitious growth plans, continued investment and a strong focus on innovation and new customer development.
With a major manufacturing base in the North of England, the company has a collaborative, down to earth and entrepreneurial culture where people are trusted to take ownership and make a genuine commercial impact.
Foodservice represents an important area of future growth, and this appointment will play a key role in developing the channel further.
The Role
Reporting into the senior commercial team, you will take responsibility for driving profitable sales growth across the UK foodservice channel.
The role will combine new end user business development with the management and development of national and regional wholesale relationships.

A major focus will be identifying and converting new opportunities across QSR, high street restaurant groups, casual dining, pub groups, contract catering, leisure, hospitality and other multi site operators.
Alongside this, you will develop relationships with national and regional foodservice wholesalers and buying groups, increasing distribution, visibility and sales across the channel.
This is a highly customer facing position with significant UK travel and a strong emphasis on prospecting, opening doors and converting opportunities into long term commercial relationships.
The Candidate
We are looking for someone with strong experience within UK foodservice sales and a genuine track record of winning new business.
The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate:
- Strong experience within UK foodservice sales
- Existing relationships across QSR, restaurant groups, pub groups, contract catering or other multi site operators
- Good knowledge of national and regional foodservice wholesalers and buying groups
- A proven track record of identifying, developing and converting new business
- Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship management skills
- The ability to build relationships across procurement, buying, operations, culinary and senior commercial teams
- A proactive approach to prospecting and opening new customer relationships
- The ability to manage a national territory and significant UK travel

You may currently be working within a branded food manufacturer, foodservice supplier, wholesaler or distributor and be looking to take on broader commercial responsibility within a manufacturing environment.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who enjoys being in the market, meeting customers, identifying opportunities and converting them into profitable sales growth.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and ambitious UK food manufacturer at an exciting stage of its development.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future growth of the foodservice channel, open new customer relationships, develop the company’s wholesale presence and make a visible commercial impact.
Location
Home based with extensive UK customer travel and attendance at the company’s Northern Head Office approximately once per week.
Package
£55,000 to £60,000 basic salary, Car allowance, pension, additional company benefits
