National Account Manager – Foodservice & Wholesale

The role is home/field-based, with regular customer travel. Customers are spread nationally, so there is flexibility on where this person is based. A South West base may be helpful due to occasional HQ visibility and wider business activity in the region, but it is not essential.

£40,000-£50,000 + £5,000 car allowance + 10% bonus + benefits
Permanent, full-time

The Opportunity

We’re supporting a fast-growing challenger drinks brand that is looking for a commercially sharp National Account Manager to help build distribution, grow existing route-to-market partners and open up new foodservice and wholesale opportunities.

This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys the energy of a smaller, high-growth brand but wants the support, credibility and infrastructure of a wider FMCG group behind them.

You’ll be working across national wholesalers, regional groups, foodservice customers and selected end-user opportunities, helping to turn strong brand momentum into profitable, sustainable volume growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow volume through existing wholesale and foodservice partners.
  • Win new national and regional accounts that fit the brand’s growth strategy.
  • Build strong customer relationships through regular face-to-face meetings and in-market activity.
  • Create and deliver customer pitches, negotiate commercial agreements and secure listings.
  • Work closely with brand, marketing, revenue management and operations teams to make sure plans are commercially viable and deliverable.
  • Forecast account volumes, manage budgets and support wider commercial planning.
  • Represent the brand at relevant industry events, exhibitions and consumer shows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Foodservice, wholesale, route-to-market account experience.
  • A track record of winning new business and growing profitable volume.
  • Strong commercial judgement, including P&L awareness and deal-making capability.
  • Confidence presenting, negotiating and influencing customers.

Drinks experience would be useful, but it is not essential. The key is foodservice/wholesale credibility, new business drive and the ability to represent a brand well in market.

Why Join?

This is a rare mix of autonomy, brand ownership and group support.

You’ll be close enough to the brand to make a real impact, but not operating in isolation. You’ll work with a small, energetic team while being backed by a wider FMCG network with strong commercial experience, customer relationships and operational capability.

For the right person, this is a chance to become a key sales lead for a high-growth challenger brand, shape its route-to-market strategy and play a meaningful role in its next stage of growth.
