National Account Manager – Grocery

North London x 2 days per week (local tube station)
£55k-58k + 20% Bonus + Benefits

Are you a commercially minded National Account Manager with Top 7 grocery customer experience ready to help shape the future of one of the UK's most exciting challenger food brands?

We're partnering with a fast-growing, super cool premium food business that has disrupted its category through exceptional product quality, strong brand credentials and a relentless focus on innovation. Having established a loyal consumer following with listings in Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Ocado and Coop as well as a strong presence in OOH, the business is entering its next phase of growth and is looking for a Commercial Manager to play a pivotal role in scaling the brand across grocery and on-demand channels.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Sales Director, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of grocery customers, driving sales growth, expanding distribution and identifying new commercial opportunities.

This is a highly visible role within a collaborative, entrepreneurial business where you'll have genuine influence on commercial strategy and customer development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of grocery and on-demand retail accounts.
  • Deliver sales, profitability and customer contribution targets.
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) discussions and annual negotiations with major retailers.
  • Develop and execute promotional and activation plans.
  • Monitor performance, identifying risks and opportunities against budget.
  • Own forecasting processes, working closely with supply chain to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyse EPOS and shopper data to generate actionable insights.
  • Build compelling customer propositions to secure new listings and increased distribution.
  • Identify and win new business opportunities within the channel.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain and finance teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing UK grocery (top 7) accounts, ideally within a branded FMCG business.
  • Strong commercial acumen and numerical capability.
  • Experience with JBP planning, customer negotiations and promotional management.
  • A track record of delivering growth through new listings and increased distribution.
  • Strong forecasting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
