National Account Manager (Grocery)

Location: London
Salary: £50,000–£60,000 + bonus + private healthcare

Alexander Steele Recruitment are working with an established Branded food manufacturer to recruit a National Account Manager.

With a turnover of around £6.5–7m, the business supplies major UK grocery retailers, health-food distributors, food manufacturers, and online customers. They are now looking for a commercially minded individual to take ownership of their grocery portfolio and support the next stage of growth.

The Role

  • Manage and develop relationships with major UK grocery retailers
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of national accounts
  • Develop account and promotional plans
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales, distribution, and margin
  • Manage pricing and commercial negotiations
  • Build strong customer and supplier relationships
  • Support the continued growth of online and foodservice channels
  • Work closely with the MD and wider team on broader commercial opportunities

About You

We're open to the level of experience and would consider an Account Manager through to an experienced NAM, provided you have a strong commercial track record.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience managing supermarket/grocery accounts
  • Strong account management and negotiation skills
  • Experience with promotional planning
  • A proven track record of delivering sales growth
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved across the business
  • FMCG/food experience preferred, with health, organic, or vegan food experience advantageous
