Role: National Account Manager

Are you a commercially driven National Account Manager with a passion for building customer partnerships, delivering profitable growth, and bringing innovative food solutions to market?

At Kepak, we're looking for an ambitious and results-focused National Account Manager to lead our Iceland and High Street Discounter accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key customer relationships, shape strategic growth plans, and play a pivotal role in driving sales performance within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Working closely with Category, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations and NPD teams, you'll be at the heart of delivering customer success while helping to grow one of the UK's leading food businesses.

What You'll Be Doing

As National Account Manager, you'll have full responsibility for developing and growing your customer portfolio, delivering sustainable and profitable growth through strong commercial leadership and customer collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute winning customer strategies for Iceland and High Street Discounter accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders at all levels
  • Lead commercial negotiations across annual agreements, pricing, promotions, and business plans
  • Deliver Joint Business Plans that create value for both Kepak and our customers
  • Achieve ambitious sales, revenue, profit, market share, and distribution targets
  • Own customer P&L performance and maximise return on trade investment
  • Lead forecasting and demand planning activities to ensure excellent service levels
  • Use category, shopper and market insights to identify new growth opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver successful product launches, promotions and seasonal programmes
  • Drive innovation, range reviews and distribution opportunities that strengthen customer performance
  • Ensure effective commercial governance across pricing, contracts, promotions and reporting

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline, equivalent professional qualification, or demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • 3+ years experience managing national retail accounts within FMCG.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing customer P&Ls
  • Experience developing and implementing Joint Business Plans
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent analytical capability with strong forecasting and planning skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office applications
