NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – IMPULSE RETAIL & DISCOUNTERS - FMCG
Home based – South East or Midlands
Attractive basic + 10% bonus, £5.5k car allowance & benefits
THE COMPANY
Guylian Belgian Chocolates are sold around the world. Established since 1958, Guylian Original Chocolate Seashells are an iconic Brand with strong Belgian provenance and CSR credentials, including Palm and Soy free and fully recyclable packaging. Made with 100% Fairtrade cacao to the same delicious recipe, Guylian is THE reference brand for premium quality Belgian chocolates with UK consumers, growing steadily here over the last 25 years. Following a major renovation in 2022 and supported with UK specific creative brand marketing investment, sales have accelerated ahead of the category over the last 3 years. Enjoying market wide distribution, we plan to drive greater penetration and to continue growing over the next 25 years.
THE JOB
The UK team need a National Account Manager to drive our business across a portfolio of Impulse and Discounter customers. This appointment will report directly into the Sales Director and the individual will be an active and vocal member of the small commercial team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a great brand in a small, friendly, experienced and cohesive team. Working to agreed KPIs, you will have real hands-on P&L responsibility to identify opportunities for profitable growth and drive through proposals and plans with your customers. You will be fully supported by the wider team in your sales endeavours, with the opportunity to further your personal and professional development towards demonstrating and harnessing your future potential to manage two of the Major Grocery Multiples in your next internal move, within 2 years or possibly sooner. The role is home based, with the expectation of attending at least one day per week at our Oxford office.

ABOUT YOU
Having grown your sales/account management experience within branded FMCG food or drinks, you are now managing head office impulse retail or high street discounter accounts at NAE or NAM level and are looking for a fresh challenge to take the next step in your career. Equally, you may be further down the track in your career and looking to match your sales energy and professional capability with the opportunity to make a real impact in a small and fast paced business.
You are comfortable working in a small, dedicated, professional team and are passionate about the business you manage, both internally and with your all-important customers. With a natural, highly personable style you are driven to succeed, capable of holding the ‘commercial floor’, results motivated, and at your core, have a character that’s built on strong values and integrity.
