Role: National Account Manager - Leisure & Golf

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Malmaison & Hotel du Vin Sales team in the role of National Account Manager – Leisure & Golf. As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across our two brands within the designated segments and will oversee an account portfolio on behalf of Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin, which will involve fostering relationships with industry stakeholders and driving growth. With support of the Head of National Sales you will develop and implement a comprehensive Leisure & Golf sales strategy to drive revenue and market penetration.

What You’ll Be Doing As National Account Manager

  • Manage a portfolio of existing key accounts / agents within leisure and golf segments, develop account plans and sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for the hotel portfolio.
  • Identify and target key markets including, Golf Tour Operators, Leisure Tour Operators and FIT agents, maximise revenue opportunities for new / developing accounts across golf and leisure segments.
  • Collaborate with the hotel teams to support the management and understanding of these verticals to increase conversion and market penetration.
  • Execute sales action plans focused on leisure and golf markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key leisure and golf clients and agents.
  • Work with Industry bodies and associations to drive leisure business to the UK to include Visit Britain and UK Inbound.
  • Support attendance at site visits, networking events, trade shows, and client meetings as required to promote the brands and generate new business within the leisure and golf sectors. The role will require some international travel to identify and develop new opportunities and markets.
  • Liaise with internal team and hotel colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful handling of any leisure and golf enquiries.
  • Conduct educational training sessions for hotels to support their development in leisure and golf sectors.
  • Review and report on account performance, pipeline management.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and performance data to refine sales strategies and capitalise on emerging opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record achieving sales targets and developing accounts, experience within the leisure and or golf industry an advantage.
  • Passion and drive with an understanding of strategic account management.
  • Exceptional communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and enquiries across multiple hotels simultaneously.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients, agents and partners.
  • Business acumen with the ability to analyse reports and data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the full portfolio of hotels.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, paired with the highest degree of integrity and discretion.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to achieving business goals.
  • Proficient in MS-Office.
  • Flexible team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Interest to learn and explore new business opportunities.
