Location: Field-based – Remote Job Length: Permanent Working Hours: Monday – Friday (Full Time)

About the Role

The National Account Manager – Managed Convenience acts as the primary customer interface, leading negotiations and developing strategic/tactical plans for key accounts across Beer and Soft Drinks categories. The role ensures delivery of financial targets, distribution, execution, and share goals.

You will have:

  • 1 direct report
  • Responsibility for Beer and Soft Drinks accounts

Key Responsibilities

Account Strategy & Execution

  • Build customer-specific strategic plans to align with annual financial and distribution goals (managed via the Managed Convenience 9 Box Grid)
  • Collaborate with customers to develop best-in-class partnerships
  • Develop, negotiate, and execute annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) (with internal governance alignment)
  • Oversee WAMOC (Winning at the Moments of Choice) plan execution and feed flex requirements to planning teams
  • Handle cost-price increases, including modelling, negotiation, and objection management
  • Work with Supply Chain collaboration manager for accurate forecasting of customer volumes, ensuring accurate Xtel and Promax inputs for effective planning

Customer Growth & Performance

  • Build and lead customer contact strategies to capitalise on growth opportunities
  • Proactively track account performance, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Drive a dynamically collaborative, cross-functional approach to maximise channel performance

Process & Financial Management

  • Take full ownership of P&L for key accounts across Softs and Beer, aligning with the Managed Convenience 9 Box Grid
  • Administer allocated budgets, ensuring compliance with channel/brand guidelines while maximising ROI
  • Use CRM tools (e.g. Xtel, Promax, Anaplan) to manage all accounts and processes

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong commercial acumen for developing tailored JBPs and account plans
  • Proficiency in P&L management and forecasting (volume and profit)
  • Exceptional persuasive selling and negotiation skills
  • Superb interpersonal, written, and oral communication for building effective partnerships
  • Confident influencing style, comfortable with constructive challenging and challenges
  • Strong priority-setting, planning, and time management skills
