Opportunity for a Key Account Manager, Junior NAM or BDM

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious KAM, Junior NAM or commercially-minded BDM to join a leading drinks business, managing key pub group customers and driving growth across the On Trade channel. Reporting directly to the Head of On Trade, you'll inherit established relationships while developing new business opportunities across managed pub groups, regional operators and Travel Retail customers.

My client is one of the UK's most recognisable and disruptive drinks businesses, having built a reputation for challenging convention and driving innovation across the beer category. From a challenger brand start-up to a major player within the UK On Trade and Retail landscape, the business continues to invest heavily in its brands, commercial team and long-term growth strategy.

Description

My client is looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to join their growing commercial team. Reporting directly to the Head of Ontrade, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Key Account Manager, Junior National Account Manager or commercially-minded Business Development Manager to step into a high-profile role managing pub group customers across the UK.

This role will play a key part in driving growth across a portfolio of established managed pub groups, regional operators and Travel Retail customers, whilst identifying new business opportunities and strengthening customer partnerships.

You will:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with on-trade accounts to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to meet commercial objectives.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions for key clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure profitability and mutual benefit.
  • Monitor account performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve challenges affecting account relationships or sales.
  • Represent the company at industry events and meetings as required.

Profile

A successful National Account Manager - Ontrade should have:

  • Experience in account management within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to analyse data and identify actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A strategic mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Suitable Candidates

This opportunity could suit:

  • A Key Account Manager looking to step into their first National Account Manager position.
  • A Junior National Account Manager seeking broader customer exposure.
  • A Business Development Manager with experience managing larger pub groups or regional operators.

Experience Required

Experience we're interested in includes:

  • Account management experience across FMCG, drinks, hospitality or related sectors.
  • Experience working with managed pub groups, brewers, regional groups or wider On Trade customers.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of account planning, forecasting and customer P&Ls.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Category and Supply Chain teams.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.

Experience across brewers, managed pub companies, regional pub groups or Travel Retail would be advantageous but is not essential.

Job Offer

  • Base Salary up to £50,000
  • Car Allowance of £6000
  • 30% bonus scheme
  • Remote Based role
