National Account Manager - Major Retail Channel

Client Details
Our client is a highly established and respected player within the coffee category, with a strong presence across the UK market across Foodservice and E-Commerce. The business has an ambitious growth agenda and is looking for an experienced commercial professional to develop profitable sales with major UK grocery retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Co-op, Aldi, and other appropriate national retail customers.

Description
As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the commercial strategy across National Retailers. You will:
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategically important national accounts.
- Develop joint business plans and customer strategies to deliver revenue, profit, and market growth.
- Build strong, senior-level relationships with key retail and wholesale customers.
- Identify opportunities across distribution, ranging, pricing, promotions, and shopper activation.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, category, supply chain, and finance teams.
- Lead negotiations and commercial reviews, using data and insight to influence customer decisions.
- Play a key role in shaping the wider channel strategy and future growth plans.

A successful Senior National Account Manager should have:

- Proven National Account Management / Key Account Management experience within FMCG.
- Demonstrable experience dealing directly with major UK grocery retailers.
- Existing relationships and a credible professional network with relevant grocery buyers and category decision-makers.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Capability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets.
