National Account Manager – Retail
Homebased
Up to £60k + Car + bonus
Our client:
A global £1bn+ FMCG business with a growing footprint in the UK retail channel. Operating across the UK and European markets, the company supplies a broad range of food products into major grocery retailers, foodservice operators and manufacturing customers worldwide. With continued investment across operations, sustainability and innovation, the business has experienced consistent growth and continues to strengthen its position within the FMCG landscape. They are now looking to appoint a dynamic National Account Manager to join them in a newly created role within the team.
The National Account Manager role:
The National Account Manager plays a critical development role within the Retail Sales team, supporting both the growth of existing national accounts and the acquisition of new business across the retail landscape. This will primarily be a discounter led retail facing role, with strong existing business in the likes of Iceland, Lidl, SPAR, Heron Foods & Farmfoods. The National Account Manager will have full P&L ownership of these customers and work with the new business team to develop wider opportunities. Our client’s product portfolio spans both branded & private label, short and long shelf-life products… so versatility is key! This is a hands-on role perfect for a self-starter who can manage tenders, JBP’s & open doors. You will be broad thinking, curious, ready to roll up your sleeves and hit the ground running!

What we’re looking for:
- Successful candidates for this National Account Manager role will come with a track-record of success in FMCG retail / discounter / convenience sales and be hungry to succeed.
- Ideally some experience managing the mentioned retailers within an FMCG business.
- Importantly, you will be passionate about working within the food industry!
