The Role

You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of strategically important retail accounts, with a particular focus on a key grocery customer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full ownership of a significant retail P&L.
  • Developing and maintaining senior customer relationships.
  • Driving growth through range expansion, new product opportunities and category development.
  • Creating joint business plans and identifying opportunities for increased distribution.
  • Protecting existing market share whilst identifying opportunities to grow.
  • Managing commercial negotiations, forecasting, promotions and seasonal planning.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams across:
    • Supply chain
    • Product development
    • Marketing
    • Operations
    • Sourcing

The business is looking for a commercially strong National Account Manager who can operate with confidence and credibility.

Ideal background:

  • Experience within non-food FMCG/consumer goods is essential.
  • Proven experience managing major UK retail accounts.
  • Strong commercial understanding with ownership of significant customer budgets or P&L.
  • Experience working with complex supply chains and imported products.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence internally and externally.
  • Confident managing senior retail relationships.
  • Commercially curious, proactive and always looking for opportunities to drive growth.
  • Experience across own-label or licensed products would be highly advantageous.
