What we’re looking for…

We have an exciting opportunity to join a growing On Trade team and represent market-leading products from the FUNKIN Cocktails, Frobishers, Fentimans, Rubicon, Bundaberg, and IrnBru range.

As our National Account Manager you will:

  • Represent the On Trade team in key National Wholesale accounts by managing and developing a strategic growth agenda that focuses on volume, revenue, and profit across the AG Barr brand portfolio.
  • Serve as the primary commercial link between AG Barr brands and key wholesale buying teams, managing end-to-end account mechanics from range distribution to an effective promotional strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Delivery: Across a National Wholesale account base, the NAM will work towards the building and delivery of a strategic growth plan that focuses on Invoice Revenue, Volume, Distribution, NPD, and P&L.
  • Relationships & Negotiation: Developing and maintaining exceptional, long-term relationships with key decision-makers across buying, operations, and marketing teams within wholesale accounts. Regular account review with decision-makers and manage internal network, route to market, and spirit partner relationships where applicable.
  • Joint Business Plans: The NAM is responsible where applicable for developing, agreeing, and delivering a joint business plan within their key customer base to drive mutual business benefit, alongside targeted business growth through the development of sales fundamentals and value for money from A. G. Barr promotional investment.
  • Forecasting: Working with the wider account team and Demand Planning, the NAM will lead and be responsible for all forecast KPIs linked to their key accounts, delivering availability within their customer from “AG Barr to Depot”, “Depot to Store” and then “Store to Shelf”.
  • Budget Investment: Agree, manage, and adhere to authorized budgets, customer investments, and customer trading terms to maintain a profitable business model for AG Barr.
  • Promotional and Activation Execution: Working with the National Wholesale account base to deliver a timely and effective promotional plan across core brands. The execution of this plan should focus on driving awareness and availability of core range while delivering profitable growth for AG Barr. There should be a continual evaluation of all agreed activation against key performance metrics.
  • Insight & Data: Responsible for utilizing data and insight to deliver a category first approach to selling. Strong data fluency with the ability to interpret sales reports and track market trends with a view to enhance the consumer experience and optimize customer and AG Barr performance.
  • Communication: Responsible for developing and agreeing the necessary level of internal communication and process to be followed to ensure clear and concise business decisions are made between parties. Strong external communication skills required to ensure the customer is always clear on decisions which may impact on their business.
  • Management of Work: Responsible for completing all required administration (internal & external) in line with agreed process, procedure, and deadlines.

What you’ll bring…

  • Proven sales experience within the FMCG sector, with a significant portion in National Wholesale or similar strategic sales role.
  • Direct experience within the UK/Local On-Trade drinks industry and cocktails is preferred but not essential (e.g., spirits, beer, wine, soft drinks).
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding challenging sales targets with a particular focus on New Business.
  • Excellent IT skills (Google Suite, Excel, PowerPoint & Word). Able to learn new packages (Cognos, IRI/Kantar, Demantra).
  • High level of numeracy and good attention to detail.
  • Highly organized.
  • Good communicator (especially remotely).
