We combine science, innovation and a deep understanding of hair and scalp health to create award-winning products trusted by customers and professionals around the world. As we enter an exciting period of growth, we are looking for a commercially driven and ambitious National Account Manager to join our Sales Team.

The role

Reporting directly to the Global Sales Director, the National Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of key UK retail accounts. This is a highly commercial role requiring strong relationship management, strategic account planning and excellent execution. You will take full ownership of your accounts, delivering profitable growth while strengthening Philip Kingsley’s position within the premium haircare market.

The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Take full commercial ownership of a portfolio of national retail accounts, delivering agreed sales, profitability and distribution targets.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with buyers, merchandisers, marketing teams and other key retail stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver annual joint business plans aligned with Philip Kingsley’s wider commercial strategy.
  • Identify and secure opportunities for incremental growth, including increased distribution, new product listings, promotional activity and enhanced in-store and online visibility.
  • Lead commercial negotiations across pricing, margins, promotional investment and trading terms.
  • Create accurate sales forecasts and work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to maintain stock availability and support effective demand planning.
  • Monitor account performance using sell-in, sell-through and market data, translating insights into clear commercial actions.
  • Develop and manage retailer promotional calendars, ensuring activity is commercially effective and aligned with brand objectives.
  • Deliver successful new product launches, retailer activations and seasonal campaigns.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Education, Digital, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain to deliver account plans.
  • Prepare and present regular account performance reviews, forecasts and growth opportunities to the Global Sales Director and senior leadership team.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the premium beauty and haircare market, competitor activity and emerging retail trends.
  • Represent Philip Kingsley at retailer meetings, industry events and other relevant commercial occasions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
