A retained client of ours is looking to appoint an experienced National Account Manager - Utilities & Leisure to drive new business growth across these strategically important sectors.

This is both a genuine new business and strategic account development opportunity, suited to a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys opening doors, building senior relationships and converting complex opportunities into long-term customer partnerships.

The role will focus on identifying and developing new opportunities across the Utilities and Leisure sector, building a strong pipeline and working with senior stakeholders, procurement teams, specifiers and key decision-makers to secure new contracts and grow existing relationships.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, targeting and securing new customers across Energy Utilities and Leisure sectors i.e. National Holiday/Caravan /Motorhome Parks/ Marinas/ Leisure Centres etc.
  • Leading opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to contract award and account development.
  • Identifying and managing tenders, frameworks, contracts and procurement opportunities.
  • Developing tailored commercial propositions and strategic account plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Working collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations and Commercial teams to develop customer solutions and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Monitoring market developments, competitor activity and customer requirements to identify new opportunities.
  • Managing forecasting, pipeline reporting and commercial performance.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded sales professional with a proven track record who can hit the ground running within the Utilities and Leisure sector.

You should have:

  • Demonstrable experience in new business, national account management or strategic sales within a complex or solution-led environment.
  • Experience selling into Utilities, Leisure, public sector or regulated markets.
  • Experience with tenders, frameworks, contracts and procurement-led sales processes.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • The confidence to engage with senior decision-makers and influence complex buying groups.
  • A proactive, organised and results-focused approach.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
