National Account Manager - Wholesale & International - Manchester based - 4 day working week!
Futures are partnered with a fast-growing SME personal care business to seek a commercially driven National Account Manager to support and accelerate our clients' growth across wholesale and international channels.
The Role
This role is responsible for managing and growing key wholesale and international accounts across the UK and EMEA. You will take ownership of a portfolio of distributor and retail relationships, driving revenue growth, strengthening partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities.
Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will play a critical role in executing the company’s B2B strategy, ensuring strong commercial performance and exceptional customer relationships within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management and Growth
- Manage a portfolio of key wholesale and international accounts, including distributors, retail partners, and out-of-home customers.
- Drive sales growth through effective relationship management, strategic account planning, and proactive pipeline development.
- Develop and execute joint business plans with key partners.
- Identify and secure new product listings across assigned channels.

Commercial Performance
- Deliver against sales, revenue growth, and margin targets across assigned accounts.
- Support the negotiation of commercial agreements, pricing, and promotional activity.
- Manage forecasting, demand planning, and order cycles in collaboration with internal teams.
- Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and further expansion.
International and Wholesale Development
- Support expansion into new international markets by identifying and onboarding suitable distribution partners.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing distributors to maximize commercial performance.
- Ensure consistent brand positioning, pricing structures, and promotional activity across markets.
- Re-invigorate relationships with key wholesalers to drive growth across the independent retail and out-of-home channels.
Market Insight and Opportunity Identification
- Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitor performance across the FMCG and health and beauty sectors.
- Identify new commercial opportunities and recommend strategies to capitalize on them.
- Provide market and customer feedback to support product development and innovation.

Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure the seamless execution of customer plans.
- Support product launches, promotions, and key campaigns across assigned accounts.
- Maintain excellent service levels and operational efficiency for all customers.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a National Account Manager or Account Manager within FMCG, ideally in the health and beauty sector.
- Experience managing wholesale, distributor, or international accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to drive revenue growth and effectively manage margins.
- Confident negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working across international markets, preferably within EMEA.
- Excellent analytical, forecasting, and organizational skills.
- The ability to thrive within a fast-paced, growing SME environment.
