Job Overview:
We are looking to appoint an experienced and commercially focused National Account Manager to join our expanding team and drive growth across our strategic customer base. This high-impact role will be responsible for managing and developing strategic partnerships with Tier 1 national clients, aligning with Kelling Group’s mission to deliver long-term, strategic growth.
Deliver growth targets, maximise sales revenue and opportunities with strategic accounts and develop new business in strategic sectors, working closely with existing sales team to manage the sales pipeline and develop accounts from site/project level up to board level.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Account Management – Develop national accounts to maximise sales and supplier position with a focus on long-term sustainable growth. Manage a portfolio of national accounts divisions, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and retention. Promote Kelling Group and core values to maintain market-leading position.
- Revenue Growth – Grow sales in line with budget requirements and the strategic plan. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling our specialist hire and lease services. Develop and implement growth plans tailored to each account to convert share of wallet and secure sales pipeline.
- Business Development – Develop new opportunities and convert new sales through strong business development with the ability to displace competitors and get deals over the line.
- Relationship Development – Build and manage strong, credible customer relationships with key stakeholders from SMT to project level within client organisations, acting as a trusted advisor. Develop strong network of key stakeholders within key accounts and sectors
- Contract Negotiation – Lead the negotiation of commercial terms, pricing agreements and service-level expectations in line with company objectives.
- Internal Collaboration – Work closely with operational, commercial and support teams to ensure exceptional service delivery across all touchpoints.
- Market Intelligence – Monitor industry trends, project pipelines and competitor activity to position Kelling Group as a preferred supplier.
- Performance Reporting – Track and report on KPIs including revenue, account performance and customer engagement, providing regular updates to senior leadership.

Candidate Requirements:
- Accomplished strategic account manager with added value propositions
- Excellent track record in sales growth via account management and new business development
- 5 years+ senior account management experience required; industry or affiliated industry experience
- Strong sales capabilities and a proven track record in new business development
- Highly organized self-starter
- Results-orientated with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
- Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
- Ability to work dynamically and nurture relationships across multiple stakeholders to grow, maintain and leverage your network
- Ability to identify potential opportunities and the appropriate decision makers
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but able to recognise and support the preferences and priorities of the organization
- Team player able to work closely with colleagues at all levels and build rapport with internal and external customers
- Ability to demonstrate effective negotiation skills to ensure business is won on viable commercial terms
- Plan approaches and pitches to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives
- Excellent IT literacy for production of presentation, sales analysis and management reports
- Focused and persistent with a drive to make things happen

This role will suit an experienced, ambitious, dynamic salesperson capable of developing new business opportunities and optimising existing accounts in line with strategic objectives. This is a customer facing, field-based role targeted on developing and maintaining a base of key strategic accounts, as well as new business development from targeted areas.
