National Account Manager

Competitive salary

Are you an experienced National Account Manager looking for a role where you can truly own customer relationships, drive growth, and make a commercial impact?

We're seeking a commercially driven National Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of retail and discounted retail accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a remote environment and enjoys balancing commercial, operational, and customer-focused responsibilities.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll play a key role in delivering customer success, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sustainable growth across your account portfolio.

The Role

As National Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of retail customers, acting as the primary point of contact and building long-term, profitable relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the end-to-end relationship for a portfolio of retail and discounted retail accounts
  • Leading annual commercial negotiations, including pricing, terms, promotional investment, and account reviews
  • Maximising sales, margin, and profitability across your customer base
  • Managing credit control activities where required
  • Developing and implementing account plans to drive volume, distribution, and profitable growth
  • Coordinating critical path activities for new product launches, range reviews, and seasonal initiatives
  • Managing private label and own-brand programmes, including specifications, costing, and supply chain coordination
  • Working collaboratively with supply chain, technical, marketing, and finance teams to ensure customer commitments are delivered
  • Resolving commercial, operational, quality, or supply chain issues efficiently and effectively
  • Producing accurate forecasts, reports, and account performance analysis
  • Identifying and developing new customer opportunities and expanding existing trading relationships
  • Representing the business at customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
