Working with leading brands including YG-1, Korloy, Kennametal, Mitutoyo, Insize and Gerardi, we deliver proven practical solutions across cutting tools, machine tool accessories and metrology.

We’re looking for a National Applications Engineer – Strategic Accounts & Projects

to join our growing team, someone who is both technically strong and commercially aware who can help us deliver real cost savings and added value to our customers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing national applications support across the UK
  • Supporting key accounts and helping customers improve machining processes, productivity and tool life.
  • Managing technical projects from the initial opportunity through to trials, implementation and completion.
  • Carrying out tooling trials, process reviews and application troubleshooting at customer sites.
  • Identifying and recording measurable customer savings through our innovative savings software.
  • Working closely with field sales engineers, account managers and suppliers to develop new opportunities.
  • Leading new Projects from start to completion
  • Recommending the most suitable cutting tools and machining solutions for each application.
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with customers through reliable and technically astute support.
  • Maintaining clear records of projects, trials, savings and future opportunities.

What we’re looking for

  • Background in cutting tools, CNC machining, or precision engineering
  • Strong understanding of milling, turning, threading and drilling applications
  • Experience in a customer facing, applications or technical sales support role is essential
  • Ability to balance technical problem solving with commercial awareness
  • Confident communicator who can add value in front of customers
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working in a field based role
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
