Business Development Manager – Foodservice

UK National | Up to £50,000 basic salary + Company Car & Benefits

Are you an experienced foodservice sales professional who knows how the industry works, understands the challenges faced by industry leaders and enjoys winning new business? This could be a great opportunity to take your career to the next level with a well-established, large-scale wholesaler within the UK foodservice market.

We’re looking for a commercially minded Business Development Manager with a strong track record in foodservice sales and, importantly, a genuine understanding of the sector. This is a role for someone who can speak confidently with senior decision-makers, spot commercial opportunities and turn conversations into long-term customer relationships.

The Opportunity

You’ll have a national remit, with a clear focus on new business development and growth. Your target market will include larger foodservice customers, multi-site operators and group accounts across areas such as hospitality, leisure, healthcare, education and contract catering. You’ll have the freedom to identify opportunities, develop your own pipeline and build relationships with prospective customers — from initial conversation through to negotiation and winning the account. This isn’t simply about making calls and hitting activity targets. You’ll need to understand what customers actually need, where the commercial opportunity sits and how a foodservice proposition can solve their challenges.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
