National Business Development Manager- Logistics, Haulage and Fleet

Parksafe Group is a UK-based leader in vehicle safety, video telematics, and fleet technology with over 30 years of industry experience. Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a National Business Development Manager, with experience in the Logistics, Haulage and Fleet industry desired. The National Business Development Manager will be responsible for cultivating and developing new business opportunities and managing a selection of key accounts in the UK. Key day-to-day tasks include identifying and prospecting potential clients, building and maintaining relationships with customers, conducting market research and analysis, developing and delivering sales presentations, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful business growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • New business prospecting- including Cold calling, networking & shows/events
  • Closing deals using agreed customer sales methods
  • Identify and prospect logistics, haulage and commercial fleet operators
  • Forecast sales, develop out of the box sales strategies/models
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts.
  • Evaluate customer’s requirements, needs and build productive long lasting relationships
  • Meet personal and team sales targets
  • Serve as the link of communication between key opportunities/clients and internal teams
  • Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key metrics
  • Attend meetings, sales events and training to keep abreast of the latest developments
  • Report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data
  • Maintain and expand client database within the United Kingdom.
  • Generate new business using a consultative approach, engaging customers and demonstrating value.
  • To understand gaps and trends in the marketplace to identify and develop business with new potential customers.
  • Take a keen interest in learning the technical features/benefits of the full product range to confidently answer customer queries.
  • Promote and maintain a high level of communication across all business departments.
  • Identifying key areas for improvement in the sales process.
  • Attending key meetings with members of the sales team and other departments.
  • To be well presented and have a confident personality.
  • Excellent literacy and language skills.

Account Management

  • Attend exhibitions / trade shows on behalf of the company and pro-actively follow up any leads generated.
  • Network and entertain key clients during unsociable hours (meals etc).
