The Opportunity

We're looking for an ambitious and commercially driven National Business Development Manager to identify, develop and secure high-value outsourcing contracts across the UK manufacturing and industrial sectors. This is a true hunter role, focused on generating new business rather than managing existing accounts. You'll engage with senior decision-makers, uncover complex customer challenges and develop tailored outsourcing solutions that deliver long-term value. If you enjoy building strategic relationships, navigating complex sales cycles and winning transformational contracts, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and secure new outsourcing opportunities across target manufacturing and industrial sectors.
  • Generate and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive business development.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders including Plant Managers, Engineering Managers, Procurement Directors, Operations Directors and C-Suite executives.
  • Lead complex consultative sales processes from initial engagement through to contract award.
  • Understand customer challenges and develop tailored outsourced service solutions that create measurable value.
  • Coordinate technical, operational and commercial teams throughout the bid and proposal process.
  • Deliver presentations, facilitate customer workshops and negotiate long-term commercial agreements.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, CRM records and strategic account plans before successfully transitioning won contracts into operational delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
