This role is all about unlocking transformational revenue, building partnerships with major brands and bringing them to life across our full national footprint. You’ll be free to prospect anywhere in the UK, with the backing of our insights, marketing, and creative teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Big-Client Acquisition: Identify and secure high-value national advertisers with the potential to invest across multiple Alight formats
- Strategic Growth Planning: Develop and execute annual account plans for each strategic client, driving significant revenue growth and multi-format spend
- National Prospecting: Use market intelligence, industry networks, and personal relationships to create a constant flow of new opportunities from brands capable of national investment
- Multi-Format Campaign Solutions: Build compelling, insight-led proposals that combine the best of our portfolio to meet client objectives
- C-Suite Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships at the most senior level, from CMOs and Marketing Directors to business owners
- Cross-Channel Collaboration: Partner with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, and Insight teams to share leads, knowledge, and client intelligence
- Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain a clear view of your pipeline, forecast accurately, and ensure all activity is recorded in our CRM (Zoho)
- Brand Ambassador: Represent Alight at industry events, networking opportunities, and thought-leadership platforms

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
