National Installation Manager - Pools and Temporary Structures

Salary: £34,000 OTE. £30,000 salary + up to £4,000 in Quarterly Performance Bonus

Location: Nationwide (Field Based and remote working)

Build Something That Matters

Every year, around 35 children lose their lives through accidental drowning in the UK, and thousands more leave primary school unable to swim the required national standard.

We exist to change that.

Primary Pools brings pop-up swimming pools directly into primary schools, removing the barriers that stop children learning this life-saving skill.

Every installation we deliver gives hundreds of children the opportunity to learn to swim.

Every successful project creates confidence, improves safety and changes lives.

About the Role

As demand continues to grow, we're looking for someone exceptional to take ownership of our nationwide installation operation.

This is an opportunity to build and lead one of the UK's most unique operational divisions.

You'll become responsible for delivering our nationwide installation programme, leading teams, improving systems, developing people and setting the standards that every future installer will follow.

As we grow, you'll help build the installation department from the ground up.

What You'll Own

You will become the operational owner of everything that happens once a school says "yes." That includes:

  • Nationwide installation planning.
  • Pool and marquee builds.
  • Logistics.
  • Vehicle movements.
  • Installation quality.
  • Site surveys.
  • Contractor coordination.
  • Health & Safety.
  • Equipment standards.
  • Asset management.
  • Continuous improvement.
  • Technical problem solving.
  • Emergency response.

If something affects the successful delivery of our pools... You'll own it.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Every installation is completed safely.
  • Swimming lessons always start on schedule.
  • Schools recommend us to others.
  • Equipment leaves every site in better condition than it arrived.
  • Installation teams want to work with you again.
  • New installers become exceptional because you've trained them.
  • The business becomes capable of delivering more schools every year without sacrificing quality.

The Person We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes ownership.

Someone who sees problems before they happen.

Someone who naturally improves everything around them.

Someone who leads by example.

Someone who wants responsibility rather than instructions.

You don't need swimming pool experience. We'll teach you everything about our systems and installations.

What we can't teach is attitude, ownership and leadership.

You'll Probably Enjoy This Role If...

  • You naturally organise people.
  • You enjoy solving problems.
  • You take pride in building things properly.
  • You notice details other people miss.
  • You like creating systems that make everyone else's job easier.
  • You're calm under pressure.
  • You expect high standards from yourself and those around you.
  • You don't wait to be asked. You simply get things done.

Your Responsibilities

Lead Nationwide Installations

  • Deliver every installation to the highest possible standard.

Build High-Performing Teams

  • Develop labourers into installers.
  • Develop installers into future leaders.
  • Create a culture of professionalism, accountability and continuous improvement.

Own National Logistics

  • Plan people.
  • Plan equipment.
  • Plan vehicles.
  • Plan accommodation.
  • Plan schedules.
  • Make sure every project happens exactly when it should.

Protect Company Assets

  • You'll improve maintenance, reduce damage and ensure every asset is ready for the next school.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Comfortable travelling nationwide.
  • Comfortable with overnight stays.
  • Strong practical ability.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Leadership experience.
  • High personal standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • A solutions-first mindset.

Performance Bonus

You're rewarded for outcomes, not effort.

Quarterly bonuses are linked to operational performance, including:

  • Swimming lessons starting on time.
  • Successful project delivery.
  • Customer satisfaction.
  • Installation quality.
  • Equipment condition.
  • Team performance.
  • Operational efficiency.

When the operation succeeds, you share in that success.

Why Join Primary Pools?

We're still small enough that one exceptional person can transform the business.

This isn't a role where you'll disappear into a large corporate structure.

Your ideas will be listened to.

Your improvements will be implemented.

Your leadership will directly influence the future of the company.

You'll help shape the department.

Build the team.

Develop future leaders.

And create an operation that delivers life-changing opportunities to children across the country.

If you're looking for a comfortable job, this probably isn't it.

If you're looking for ownership, challenge, purpose and the opportunity to build something genuinely meaningful, we'd love to hear from you.
