Robin Food Distribution Ltd, founded in 2019, is a recognised supplier and distributor within the UK food wholesale industry. Our central warehouse in Waltham Cross, London, operates as the main hub for nationwide distribution, supported by additional warehouses in Harlow, Nottingham, and Glasgow, providing efficient coverage across England and Scotland.
As the business continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced and commercially driven National Key Account Manager to strengthen our relationships with major customers and help drive the next stage of our growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Food & Beverage, FMCG, food wholesale, or distribution professional to join a growing organisation and play a key role in developing national customer relationships and commercial opportunities.
Role Overview
The National Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing, developing, and growing relationships with with key national supermarket chains and major UK food retailers. The role will focus on increasing revenue, expanding customer relationships, securing new opportunities, and ensuring consistently high levels of service.
This is an important commercial position for someone with an established network within the UK grocery and Food & Beverage sector who can open doors with major retailers, secure new business, and grow existing national accounts.

- Manage and grow relationships with key national supermarket chains and major UK food retailers.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive sales, listings, distribution, and revenue growth.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities and national retail listings.
- Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, margins, promotions, trading terms, and distribution.
- Build strong relationships with buyers, category managers, and senior commercial decision-makers.
- Analyse sales performance, customer data, and market trends to identify growth opportunities and improve account performance.
- Work closely with Sales Representatives, operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure excellent customer service and efficient delivery.
- Prepare sales forecasts, account reviews, and commercial reports for senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in National Account Management, Key Account Management, or senior commercial sales.
- Strong experience within Food & Beverage, FMCG, food wholesale, grocery, retail, or distribution.
- Experience working with major UK retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Co-op, Aldi, Lidl, Iceland, Ocado, M&S, Booker, or Costco is highly advantageous.
- Established relationships with buyers, category managers, purchasing teams, and senior commercial decision-makers.
- Proven experience negotiating pricing, margins, promotions, listings, and trading terms.
- Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to develop account plans, analyse sales performance, and deliver revenue growth.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; experience with CRM/ERP systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
- London-based and able to work on-site as required.
- Relevant degree or equivalent commercial experience.

About the Role
This is a senior commercial position for an experienced account manager who understands the UK food wholesale, FMCG, and Food & Beverage market and can develop strong commercial relationships with national customers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding Robin Food Distribution Ltd's national customer base, increasing revenue from existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, and strengthening relationships across the UK.
You will work closely with our sales, operations, logistics, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure that commercial growth is supported by excellent service and reliable nationwide distribution.
