Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Hybrid

Based in Frimley, UK, we are now seeking a National Major Account Manager to join our EMEA Sales team at Hyster‑Yale Materials Handling. This is a strategic, customer-facing role focused on driving growth across UK National and pan-European accounts, with a dedicated focus on UK-based activities. You will develop long-term partnerships and deliver sustainable revenue performance within this scope.

You will play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing high-value customer relationships, and leading complex sales activities including national tender processes. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will help shape and deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements while strengthening Hyster-Yale’s market position.

Primary Purpose

  • To drive market share growth through proactive business development within your defined industry sector and assigned portfolio of UK National and pan-European accounts.
  • To develop and strengthen relationships with UK stakeholders within our existing EMEA accounts.
  • To identify, prospect, pursue and close competitive strategic sales opportunities, to actively manage the roll out and further penetration of these accounts.
  • To lead, coordinate, and deliver national tender bids across your target account base on behalf of Hyster-Yale Materials Handling.

Key Accountabilities

  • Annual Target Revenue, profit and units
  • Pipeline Growth/Prospective sales opportunities
  • Penetrate, and account manage to drive growth and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Meet and fulfil customer expectations and applications
  • Manage, coordinate & follow tender process
  • Identify, develop and bring new accounts into contract
  • Build strong internal and external relationships across the organisation and dealer network to influence support and maximise sales opportunities.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Business Management - BS/BA Degree or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of complex solution selling, a structured sales approach. Formal Training courses, work experience, management coaching.
  • Product, application and industry knowledge
  • Professional sales experience involving major accounts or corporations with proven results. Significant work experience proven senior sales, within a manufacturing/international environment.
  • Creative and persistent business development skills
  • Prospecting and negotiation with multiple points of influence. (personal selling)
  • Presentation & communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience with responding to tender requests, national and pan European.

The successful candidate will be required to complete background checks in line with company policy.
